Guidelines

  • The poster should reference the Holy Quran in some way.

  • The event is open to any Lajna or Nasirat at any level.  However, awards will only be given to three groups: K-5th grade, 6th-12th grade, and undergraduate/graduate/post-doc.  Posters from professionals in the field are welcome and will be for exhibition purposes only.

  • The poster should not be larger than 4 feet by 3 feet, and should be free standing on a trifold board.  When displayed, it should not occupy a space of more than 2 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet.

  • Small props are permissible, but nothing containing hazardous materials.  Hazardous materials include, but are not limited to, chemicals that are flammable, corrosive, volatile or odorous.  This also includes organisms that pose a health risk to humans or the environment (see CDC guidelines).

  • Eligible posters will be judged and scored.  The schedule of the judging will be provided when participants drop off their posters at the event.  The judges decisions are final and arguing with the judges will be grounds for exclusion from the Science Fair.

  • The names of all participants will be shared with our Beloved Hazoor.  Even though awards will be given, keep in mind that all participants are winners!  It is a wonderful accomplishment to research, prepare, and present a scientific poster.  You will gain knowledge and confidence, and we hope this will fuel your scientific curiosity.
